This is a fanmade trailer for the book/ the film City of Bones.

What I like about it is how the young woman tried to show how torn apart the protagonist Clary is by being strong fighting "dark" creatures versus being a young "ordinary" girl. In the short clip this difference can be seen in the contrasting lightning and focus, as well as the different clothings, body language, gestures and facial expressions.

Great post. At the end of the clip you see all the other videos she has made that are concerned also with styling and fashion. I think this fan video foregrounds a huge different between Mortal Instruments and Harry Potter, the focus on clothes and style. This is probably closer to Twilight, were we also know at all times what the characters are wearing.
